Gerritt and his dog Hank enjoy chasing pheasants in Minnesota and the Dakotas, in addition to other activities such as camping, hiking, and photography. He has been active in the Chapter for the past several years and has introduced several people to hunting and shooting sports. Gerritt has a goal of visiting all the National Parks in the United States (54 done out of 63 so far) and once went over 30 days without showering - feel free to ask him why!?!

Having worked for the U.S. Army for 30+ years and living and visiting different parts of the world the Midwest is home to me. I enjoy all things out of doors – gardening, hiking, golfing, fly fishing and certainly a passion in the fall is chasing the wily ringneck in western Minnesota and the Dakotas. Throughout the year I also work with my in-perfect Deutsch Drathaar, to try to work along with an in-perfect hunter like me. One of my great pleasures is spending time with my wife and three grown kids in the great outdoors. The sun rising, a stream flowing, a hike with the aroma of pine, and the flushing and cackling of a rising ringneck all remind me of our great Creator. It is always a great time to enjoy the out of doors.

Jared Wiklund is the current secretary and banquet chair of Washington County Pheasants Forever and serves as the Public Relations Manager for Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever on a national scale. A diehard upland bird hunter, Jared can be found following his Labrador retriever and English pointer throughout the fall while pursuing pheasants, quail, grouse, and waterfowl. He is also an avid big game hunter who enjoys the pursuit of elk, whitetails, mule deer, and even black bears.

Kris is the Youth Chair and Trap Team Raffle Coordinator of Washington County Pheasants Forever. Each fall Kris and his golden retreiver Bow pursue grouse and pheasants in North Dakota, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. When not hunting, he enjoys time with his family cooking and trying new foods. He also enjoys time at the family cabin, camping in the BWCA, fishing, and hunting black bears and whitetail deer.

Dave Swenson is an avid sportsman who enjoys bird and whitetail deer hunting, and fishing, mostly across the Midwest and Canada. He is a former youth firearms safety instructor, and he's been organizing an annual Disabled Hunter / Wounded Warrior Pheasant Hunt for PF and the Whispering Emerald Ridge Game Farm in Menomonie for the past 15 years. Since retiring from 3M he spends much of his time in the summer months with his family at their cabin near Alexandria, MN. Dave also helps with Special Olympics events, and volunteers at the Alexandria Shooting Park during the annual Minnesota State High School Trap Shooting Championships.
